I am in Australia and researching Margaret Henry who died in childbirth in the big desert Victoria in 1866. The intention is to add a storyboard by her grave which is on the side of a dirt track where her husbandís dray broke an axle while he was transporting her body to Dimboola for burial. So far I know that she was married to James Jardine in 1861 and had two previous children the oldest also named James. She reported her age at her wedding as 24 in 1861 but her husband told the coroner that she was about 33 in 1866 so there is a discrepancy with her age. She also signed her marriage register with an X so I am assuming she was illiterate. She also said she was born in Tipperary Ireland and had other family that were living in Western Australia. Her father was evidently Francis Henry and mother Margaret McCain.
I am looking for any information I can get on her and her family. Especially birth information and any other family, siblings etc. she may have had. Any help I can get would be much appreciated as her story is a tragic one of a pioneer woman and the hardship she faced in the desert eventually losing her life in childbirth due to the lack of any help from another woman or doctor.
