I didn’t uncover any further information about Roderick Kennedy or the find the baptisms of his parents, but did find what may be the marriage index for his parents, John Kennedy and Margaret Sheedy, as well as the baptism indexes for three of John and Margaret’s children. These indexes are from the Irish Family History Foundation (IFHF) website for County Tipperary (North).

Before you begin searching for ancestors at the IFHF website you first need to establish an account. Indexes are free to search, but to download a birth, baptism, marriage, or death transcription costs 5.00 Euros payable by credit card. Once the credit card payment is received a transcription of the record you are interested in, will be sent to your computer.
The marriage index for John Kennedy and Margaret Sheedy shows they were married in the Borrisokane Roman Catholic Church in the year 1832. In your message to the GenForum you have Roderick’s birth taking place in 1824. Either there were two husband and wife teams of John Kennedy and Margaret Sheedy living in Tipperary in the 1820s and 1830s, or the birth year you have for Roderick is incorrect.

All the children were baptized in the Cloughjordan Roman Catholic Church. Cloughjordan as well as Borrisokane, are situated near Nenagh, Tipperary.
