Greetings from Ireland, Kathleen. I have a good deal of information on these Tipperary Scullys. This is a long shot but have a look at it.
On May 3 1778 Darby (Jeremiah) Scully a farmer at Poynstown Co.Tipperary married Catherine Purcell of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. They had three sons, Jeremiah, John and Pierce.
John married some time about 1820 (wife unkown) and they are credited with 3 sons, Jeremiah, John, and James and three daughters, Frances, Catherine and Anne Born in Ireland, I would guess. The family disappear without trace from the Scully tree at this point and I know nothing more about them. Emigrated ? Possibly.
Have you any further scraps of information about John ?
