A database for all Ireland is being created by the Irish Family History Foundation (IFHF). Eventually it will cover all of Ireland's counties. IFHF is at http://brsgenealogy.com/. I traced my ancestry to Kilcommon, Tipperary, by knowing the birth year for one child born in Ireland (Catherine), the names of her parents (Martin Connors and Mary Dwyer), and the estimated year of marriage. They named one of their 11 children Bridget. Therefore, there could be some relation.
The database gives you records back to about 1830. More may be coming, I don't know when. Search the database using the forename and surname for your emigrating ancester. Whittle the "hits" down to a few possibilities by using the screening tools. They only charge 10 euros each to view the final set of hits.
