Hi Michelle,
Yup, I'm still here.I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help to you.The records I referred to in my original posting were sent to me by a late Irish cousin and were copied from the parish records for Templeboy, Castleconnor, Skreen, Dromard and Kilmacshalagan. He was looking mainly for Flynn's and any record with the name Flynn was included.
Their was a child (name of which he couldn't read) born to Martin Dunleavy and Celia Culkin from Gleneasky and the sponsors were Patrick and Bridget Flynn. The child was born on 28 Aug 1878 (Kilmacshalgan Records). There were no Feeny's on the list.
I have a cousin that is the resident Culkin guru and will send him your message and he might be more of a help on this subject.
As for the Finnegan's - hmmpf!I haven't been able to find anything on them.My gr gr grandmother was Mary Finnegan who married my gr gr grandfather John Flynn.Family lore says she was the daughter of John Finnegan and Mary Golden but have never been able to confirm it.Her birth was about the late 1780's to early 1790's and have not found a death date.
Do you have any dates on your Culkin's, Finnegan's or Feeney's?
Very sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Kathy
