Kathy, I want to thank you for your response to my"missing Smith" inquiry, and apologize for taking so long to answer you! You gave me some information that I didn't have, and you gave me my 3rd copy of the Chute 1880 Census, each one different! There's one with only the family, the one you gave me with a nephew in it, and one with a member from a different family! There was another Margaret Chute with 2 sons, one named Thomas that was the same age as " my Thomas", and a son named Andrew. Andrew shows up in one of the reports. Now, this Margaret died 1-25-1892, my ggrmother died in 1920. No matter how many times I've tried, I can't get the Census corrected. But, again, I thank you for your help, and if you come across any more info, please send it along. Eddie Chute PS., Just for the record, I live in Tn., but I was born in New Britain, Ct. I started doing research about my family after I moved. We Irish like doing things the hard way, don't we! Notify Administrator about this message?
