I am a descendant of Bridget Gildea, most of whose children were baptised in Ardcarn between 1841 and 1855.

She was married to John Patterson and her children were Patrick Patterson (1841), Rose (1843), Catherine (1846) and Peter (1855). Sometime between 1855 and 1859 the family moved to Sunderland, England. Another baby, Owen, was born in 1859 but he and Bridget died very shortly after.

She was 45 when she died, so must have been born around 1814.

Do you think there would be a connection to your Gildeas? Might she be Patrick's sister?

Do you have any information on them?
