I am the granddaughter of Agnes Hickey Shea (born May 29, 1886) who was the youngest daughter of James Hickey and Mary (Maria) Hopkins. The family lived in Portage County, Wisconsin and had six daughters and three sons. When my grandmother married my grandfather (John Shea) she lived near Minot, ND, but died in Phoenix, AZ in 1972. I am a recent retiree and also have been trying to find info on the Roscommon Hopkins family. It seems most of the 1821-1851 census returns were destroyed in 1922 in the fire at the Public Record Office according to Irish National Archives. Very disappointing!
