Doherty Roscommon

I am also researching the Doherty family from County Roscommon. My GG Grandmother was Mary Doherty born approx. 1870 in the Civil District of Ballaghadreen. Her father was Martin Doherty and her mother Catherine Moore. I believed they belonged to the Roman Catholic Parish of Loughlynn. (This is in the Civil Parish of Tibohine)

There are 89 house holds with the surname Doherty listed in the Griffiths Valuation for county Roscommon. Go to:

http://askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml

Type in the Family name Doherty and County Roscommon and you can browse the information for all Doherty Families located in County Roscommon at the time of the Griffiths Valuation.
