Looking for any information regarding the title name. Story as I have it; Marquis Jacque Marie Mattimeaux escaped from France during the Revolution, went to Scotland where he stayed with a MacParkland family. Married the daughter, Margaret and moved to Ireland, possibly settling in Frenchpark, Co Roscommon. They were well to do and had nine
daughters. Bridget, my g g grandmother married Patrick Conlin of Co Sligo and emigrated to the United States. She came over several years later. There were nine daughters and adopted the spelling 'Mattimoe'. Other daughters names that I have are: Ann Lavin, Mary Ball,Margaret Mullaney and Kitty Costello.
Any information would be appreciated.
