I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database.

There are two entries for Thomas Scally in 1893. One is a church baptism, the other a civil registration. I would choose the civil registration as it is likely to include more info. Go to to request an application form.

Or, Google the Foundation's name to lead you to the IFHF database.
