I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database.

There are two entries for Thomas Scally in 1893. One is a church baptism, the other a civil registration. I would choose the civil registration as it is likely to include more info. Go to http://www.groireland.ie to request an application form.

Or, Google the Foundation's name to lead you to the IFHF database.
