WILLIAM & WINIFRED O'BYRNE STAPLETON emigrated in early 1840s with children Mary Ellen (m. Michael Owens in Troy, NY 1844), Martin, Ann, Bridget, James and Winifred. By 1845 they were in Watertown, Jefferson Co., WI, then moved to Fox Lake, Dodge Co., WI. Daughter Catherine had married a MCNULTY in Ireland and may have emigrated separately with 2 children (another born in US) but was widowed by 1850. I have not found them in any passenger list so far.

William was born in 1793 and Winifred in 1798, and they would have married by about 1818.

Any information or ideas on where to look for them about this couple such as family, residence in Roscommon, etc. would be most welcome.
