Re: Gaffney/Hannon ancestors - Australia

I am researching Hannon and Gaffney ancestors in Australia. Both the Gaffney and Hannon families seem to come originally from Roscommon in Ireland, based on various birth and marriage certificates.

I have a Mary Gaffney who married Michael Hannon, and their son Michael came to Australia in the late 1800's. Mary's brother John also came to Australia, and when the son Michael emigrated to Australia he was met and lived with John Gaffney.

I would love to hear from any-one who thinks we may have common ancestors so that we can help each other fill in missing spots in our family histories.
