Looking for birth rcds for George Powell B abt 1826 and Ellen Morrissey B abt 1841. Also looking for marriage rcds of the two M abt 1859 +/- 1 yr. Marriage believed to have been in Ireland. Immigrated to U.S. 1859-1860.
George Powell and his brother John had mining experience possibly gained from working in one of the few mining areas in Ireland. This suggests an Offaly/Laois/Tipperary origin.
The Powell surname seems to stem from Wales (ap Howell).
Any info appreciated.
