I am looking for any information that would lead me to Michael Grogan. He claimed to have been born in Kings County, probably around 1810. (His tombstone says 1797, but 1840, 1850 and 1860 censuses suggest he was born about 1810.)
He was in New York by 1835 when his first son John was born. I do not know if he married in Ireland or the U.S., but his wife's name was supposedly Sarah Credman or Creaman and she was also born in Ireland (about 1818.)
The family lived for some years in Ohio and settled in Michigan before 1860.
