Hi Maureen,
I'm afraid I'm only at the start of my search. I'm actually originally from Co. Monaghan and am living in Dublin, Ireland. My father passed away a little over two months ago and I realised that while I knew where my grandparents were buried (in St Patrick's Church, Bawn), I had no idea about where my great grandparents were buried as they are not mamed on the headstone of the grave, and so i became curious about them. (I've since realised that there are possibly church records which I can use to help with this.) Anyway, I discovered the census information given below. As far as I know, Anne Lennon was married to my great grandfather John Mc Elroy. My grandfather was their son who was also named John. I see that only four of the eight children are listed. I believe a few of them emigrated to the U.S - not sure what part of U.S. There was also a girl called Rose who married Terence Kavnagh and lived in rural Ballybay in a place called Shantonagh. I don't know if any of this info is relevant or helpful to you, but hope it is.
Best wishes,
Alicia (McElroy)
