I couldn't help but notice a couple of familiar names in your post.

My grandfather was John McDonald who would have been born in the later 1800"s and he married Winifred Boylan.
Both from Monaghan.

I have a family tree that my Uncle had done many years ago.

I will dig it out and have it handy, if you reply to this.
