Hi Julie. Guess I have to pay more attention to these web-sites--just noticed you. My wife's great grandfather was James Farmer born 1821 in the Parish of Kilmore, Cty. Monaghan. He came to PEI about 1846, with a brother Hugh. This is critical as Irish naming customs usually named the first son after the father, then grandfather.
