It is thought Wm Armstrong & his wife, Jane, emigrated from Co. Monaghan to Canada East in 1818. The Breakey family, Wm & Jane Breakey, who were close neighbours of the Armstrongs in SouthWest River, Monnoir Seignory, Iberville Co., Quebec came from Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan. Their daughter, Letitia, married Wm Armstrong's son, Wilson Joseph Armstrong. Both Letitia & Wilson J were born in South West River. However, Wm Armstrong's eldest daughter, Margaret, was born in Ireland in 1817.
