FERNHILL CEMETERY, WESTMORELAND ROAD, SAINT JOHN NB

"From Report on Burying Grounds in NB by Dr James Hannay 1908, originally prepared for the Government of NB, later collected by the National Archives of Canada where the original 903 page report of many southern NB cemetery tombstone inscriptions or the microfilm of the original is currently available."


In memory of William Parks born in Buckley, County Monahan, Ireland Feb 11th 1800 who was a passenger in the SS City of Boston which sailed from Halifax for Liverpool Nov 28th 1870 and was never heard of afterwards. His wife Ann Hegan died Aug 30th 1885 aged 84 years.

In memory of Thomas Parks born at Brackley, County Monaghan, Ireland Mar 18th 1804 died 3 Sep 1873.

David Hastings of County Monaghan, Ireland born May 6th 1814 died Aug 19th 1886. His wife Rebecca born July 12th 1818 died Jun 2nd 1881.

Robert Hastings died Mar 4th 1876 aged 58 year a native of County Monaghan, Ireland.

In memory of John Kennedy who departed this life 14th May 1856 aged 48 years a native of County Monaghan, Ireland.

In memory of Elizabeth the beloved wife of John Kennedy who departed this life 12th February 1855 aged 52 years.

In memory of James Taylor died May 28th 1885 aged 72 years a native of County Monaghan, Ireland.
