Monaghan Exiles - receive regular Monaghan Data

The Weblink of Monaghan Exiles receive regular data, mostly historic, about County Monaghan. This data includes extracts from Monaghan's oldest Newspaper, the Northern Standard back to 1839. Many Family researchers have found the advertisemnts of "Land & Property Sales" an excellent way to establish when their Ancestors left Ireland. These extracts are actual photo-copis of the original advertisements giving the size of the farm or business, the terms of sale and the name of the Auctioneer. Recently, many visitors find Monaghan much easier to navigate because of the "Tour Service" offered by several local Volunteers at no charge. Accommodation can be organised also via these people and it is always better to stay at a B&B facility where the owner can advise on the local area.
