Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Unfortunately, Colin, I do not have any information to help you. I do show a Samuel, b 30 Oct 1836, whom I haven't found a connection to my Fergusons, but I assume he probably is the son of one of William's brothers or at least a relative. What do you have on Samuel, if you don't mind sharing? Is he a son of John and Ann Hall Ferguson, parents of William, by any chance? All my Fergusons appear to be from the Annaheel area.
I have to confess that I haven't had the time since we returned from Ireland to do much genealogical research. I had a back problem that almost kept me from even going to Ireland but I went and then ended up in bed after getting back. Then came Christmas and we bought a rental house which needed some fixing up. We have also been having one snow or ice storm after another so you would think I would have time to do some research. I also teach nursing online so I ended up starting a class after the new year started and have been teaching classes since. I hope to have a break in a couple of weeks so maybe I can get some research done. It seems I never have the time to do it or maybe I do and just procrastinate about it. I don't know but if I can connect the dots, so to speak, I will be sure to let you know.
