Ross Family of Castleblaney, Co. Monhegan, Ireland

I am trying to locate any information on Joseph Ross and family. A family tale says that his wife's maiden name was Maria Reed. Their daughter was my great-great-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Ross, born about 1809, who is said to have had 9 sisters and one brother. They lived at "Rossmore Hall" near Castleblaney, Ireland. It is said, that, during a period of unrest in the area, the hall was burned, but the family was warned by a loyal Irish servant, and escaped to England. This account may be more fancy than fact, but usually there is some basis in fact, which has been embellished over multiple tellings. Mary Elizabeth Ross did marry, in 1831, at St. Marylebone Church in London, to Samuel Brook Jessop. They had one son in England, and came to the United States about 1832. They lived in Brooklyn, New York, and, later, in Auburn, New York. They both died in Auburn in the 1860s. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
