Betty, I think we might be related. My ancestor, Samuel Duff and wife Margaret Montgomery DUFF came to the American Colonies, c. 1750 from N. Ireland. His son William, named his Plantation in VA, "CARRICKFERGUS" which is a town in Antrim County Ireland. Wm. married Agnes THATCHER c. 1766 in PA? Do you have any Margaret Montgomerys in your records. My Duffs came into PA, moved to Guilford County area of NC, some went to SC, then most moved back to VA and settled in Washington, Lee and Russell Co. VA by 1790. Any chance we connect? My DUFF were originally from Scotland, were Jacobites/Presbyterians and fled for their lives into N. Ireland then here. Thanks. Bonnie Duff-Smith, P.O.
