Hi Sharon, the place you seek is Rathvilly,co Carlow. The problem is that only Protestant records have been put online for co Carlow. The only way to access Roman Catholic records is to go to the National Library in Dublin or to go to your nearest LDS(Latter Day Saints) library who have microfilmed all the parish registers. In the Civil Registration Lists I found a death for James Kehoe in co Carlow-he died 1868 and was born @ 1793.You can get a copy of this from groni.ie for 4 euro (they can even e-mail it to you).Death records do not have much in the way of info though-name,date and place of death, informant thats about all.I looked at a few records and found several James Kehoes but not one had the wife's name as Margaret. Also, I looked at the Tithe Applotment books 1814-1838 for co Carlow and found listings for several James Kehoes. The parishes he appeared in are Barragh,Baltinglass,Dunleckny,Haroldstown,Myshall,Nurney,St Mullins,Sliguff and Tullowmagimma. These are the parishes I would look to for the birth of Margaret. In Griffiths Valuation 1848-1864, James Kehoe appears living in the townland of Knockevagh, parish of Rathvilly. Also,in same place is Patrick Kehoe whom may be a brother of his.
I did want to ask you where you got the exact date of Margaret's birth? Did it come from a record? If I can help more let me know,Kim
