Sorry for the double click. Sligo, Ireland could well be where a few of the first ones were born - I'll have to check there. At one point I was thinking they sailed from St. John's Point but it's not a good port, from what someone told me. Still, that could be where they stayed for a time, if the father and some kids came and then the mother came over with the others. If that's what Maggie remembered and talked about then that could be why it was then mentioned in her obituary as her birthplace.
