John P. & Margaret Brady, 11 kids St. John's Point to Ohio early 1870s
I haveaJohn P. Brady (1815-1875) and Margaret Brady (maiden name Maley, 1822-1891) who came with 11 children in the 1870-3 range from St. John's Point, Ireland to eventually live in Stark County, Ohio.
I'm not sure what ships they came on but it's very likely they came in a few shifts, as I've heard the father often came first & others followed. Maggie, the youngest, came in 1873. (Newspaper article has her born 1869 but could be a few years before that - she married John J. Fitzpatrick, about whom I have nothing except the 1864-1913 on his grave & that the census says he was born in New York.)
I've been told St. John's Point wouldn't be where they sailed from instead, yet someone says they searched and didn't find any record there for Maggie or the others. (The article about her death mentions being born there.) It's possible the children were all born elsewhere in County Donegal.
So, anyone who can shed light on them, please do. Thanks.
