DUFFY, DUFFEY, IRELAND TO CANADA TO CALIFORNIA
Beaulah Duffey was born on December 31, 1912 to Claude Stanley Duffey and Laura Coughlin (1890-1943). She moved with her family to New York, New York to study with Ernest Hutcheson, the director of the Julliard School of Music in New York.
Beulah married twice. She was married to Roy Harris (1898-1979)and Jake Heggie in 1982). Later known as: Johana Harris, pianist, teacher, composer. She lived in Pacific Palisades, California in the late 60’s. Beulah died of cancer in 1995, aged about 82, in California, USA.

Her father, Claude Stanley Duffey (1889-1960), was a brother of William Knox Duffy, a printer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
William Knox Duffey (1855-1943)was the son of James Duffy (c 1827-1890) and Mary Ann Woodburn (1827/9-1912), both born in Ireland. The last name was changed and the "e" dropped at an unknown date. James was born in Donegal, and no further info on him yet.
