Fran,
Susan’s father’s name should be on her marriage certificate. The marriage was registered in Ballyshannon (which is the civil registration town for most of Inishmacsaint parish) Oct – Dec 1890 Volume 2, page 9.
You can order a photocopy from GRO Roscommon for €4 per certificate. Put the place, year, quarter (where there is one), volume & page number on the application form (anywhere). Don’t worry about leaving some boxes blank. You don’t need to fill them all in if you have the reference details. http://www.groireland.ie/http://www.groireland.ie/ You have to post or fax the form to them but they will e-mail the copy certificate to you if you wish. Tick the relevant box on the form.
Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church (assuming the couple attended different churches) so that may be the place to look for the bride’s baptism and that of any siblings. Unless it was a registry office marriage, the church will be on the certificate.
Inishmacsaint RC parish records start in 1847, so you might find Susan’s baptism if her age on the 1901 census was correct. On the other hand the 1911 census suggests she may not always have been truthful about her age, and may have been born c 1840, and so you might not locate it. Her age on her death certificate gives her a year of birth of 1847, so you never know. (The old age pension was introduced in Britain & Ireland in1909, for people aged 70 and over. Since most people in Ireland who might qualify didn’t have birth certificates to prove their exact age, there was some exaggeration in ages in the 1911 census, in the hope that this would enable them to qualify. So ages in censuses are never that accurate, but in 1911 they were often particularly adrift.
The revaluation records show that the farm in Sruhanure was in Patrick Curran’s name until 1888 when it changed to Susan. In 1893 it changed to Patrick Flanagan before changing to Francis Flanagan in 1901. In 1908 it changed again to John O’Brien. Francis Flanagan appears in Ardees Lower in 1907, on plot 1 (a farmhouse, outbuildings and just over 21 acres). His name was still against that property in 1929.
Patrick Currin evidently died intestate:

You could check for children to Francis & Susan by contacting GRONI, in Belfast. They can search using the 2 surnames only, and any children would come up. However the couple declared they had no children in 1911 (when Susan was apparently 70) and so I doubt somehow that they ever did have children.
