Hi, looking at the Tithe Applotment books for co Tipperary the following Nicholas Burkes appear;

townland: Rath McCarty
parish: Kilbragh

townland: Booleen
parish: Templeneiry

townland: Graiguefrahane
parish:Loughmoe West

townland: Pollough
parish: Templemore

What I would do next is to go to the closest Mormon Library and check to see which of these parishes have records that have been microfilmed for the time period that your interested in and check to see if you can find Nicholas' birth. Remember the Irish always seem to be 5 years or so off on their actual birth year so check from maybe 1803-1814.

you may already have these but I thought I would include them anyway.

Birth and Baptisms for Burke children:

born: May or June 1847
baptised:5 Sept 1847

born:Sept 1849
baptised:24 Oct 1849

born:Sept 1851
baptised:2 Nov 1851

born:1 Feb 1851
baptised: 15 or 19 Feb 1854

born:22 Apr 1857
baptised: 26 Apr 1857

born:28 Jan 1859
baptised:30 Jan 1859

born:17 Dec 1862
baptised:20 Dec 1862

born:28 Dec 1865
baptised:4 Feb 1866

these are from the Antigonish Catholic Diocese records.
Hope this helps,Kim
