help with adress on passenger list Newcastle Ireland or Roxbury Ma
Hi All, I am wondering if someone can confirm this is a correct address in Newcastle Ireland or is it actually Roxbury Ma.
Looking at the arrival date Oct 4 1907 Margaret McMullen age 44, arrived in Boston on the "Cymric" out of Liverpool, England.
What I don't understand is on the manifest it states under column 11, nearest relative or friend in country where alien came. Isn't this referring to who she left behind in Ireland?
What the column says is Brother --Hugh McMullen.. 148 Knace St. Roxbury or this a very messy written 148 Terrace St in Roxbury, Ma.
Which would be a partial duplication of the answer to column 18,
that says she is going to her son Hugh McMullen 148 Terrace St. Roxbury.
Margaret's brother Hugh McEvoy/McAvoy died in 1888 in Concord, Ma.
Margaret's husband Hugh McMullen died in 1895 in Boston.
Margaret's son did live at 148 Terrace St. In Roxbury, Ma.
The 148 Terrace St. in Roxbury was Margaret's address for over 30 years on US census.
Thanks in advance for any help sent my way.
