Francis Kenny, Rope Maker, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon
Posted by: Alicia Grab (ID *****5113) Date: June 15, 2013 at 20:03:10

My Kenny ancestors came from Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, Ireland. The farthest back I know is Francis Kenny b. 1803 d. 1891 Married to Maria Casey. Their daughter Margaret Theresa Kenny b.1835 d.1905 married a Patrick Mahon Sr, she is my direct Kenny ancestor.
Francis Kenny was a rope maker. Only one son stayed (I believe the son's name was also Francis) and kept the rope making going the rest immigrated to the US.

Looking for possible connections in Ireland.
Thanks
