Looking for Theresa O'Sullivan who married John Hayes
Hello all,
Please help me with some information.
I am looking for Theresa O'Sullivan and John Hayes.
I think John Hayes was from Lancashire.
Theresa O'Sullivan arrived from Ireland, Limerick I believe,in about 1903, with a son called Christopher O'Sullivan. Christopher was I understand about 2 years old.
Theresa was unmarried mother in Ireland, and so came to England I guess to escape the Catholic stigma of an "unmarried" mother.
Christopher O'Sullivan, appears to have kept his mothers name.
Christopher O'Sullivan married Cristina Blackburn, in around 1919 in Liverpool.
Christina O'Sullivan (nee Blackburn) then went on to have 7 children with Christopher O'Sullivan
1, Kathleen - died as an infant
2, Christopher - died as an infant
3, John, died in the D-Day landings at Dieppe
4, Arther
5, Samuel (Sammy)
6, Maureen
7, George.
Of course, any help much appreciated, variablespeeddrive (AT) hotmail.co.uk ~~~~you know what to do with the (AT)
