I search the IFHF's online database @ ROOTSIRELAND.IE. It has abt 19 million B/M/D and other records for MOST Irish counties. Records before 1863 are increasingly scarce. By 1800 they are almost non-existant. Protestant records are expecially rare.

For Charles Lynn B 1841 +/- 5 yrs, somewhere in Ireland, with the parents' names unknown, I found 0 records.

For Catherine Lynn B ditto, I found 15 records: 1-Down, 1-Galway, 1-Roscommon, 2-Waterford, 2-Mayo, 1-Tipperary, and 7-Westmeath.

Without a more precise DOB/DOM, placename, and/or parents' names it will be difficult to decide which, if any, is the right record.

Hope this helps. Good luck and happy new year.
