Actually, I think John OK came in through NY, found two listings for his name on passenger lists, in 1863 which is always the date he gives for his arrival;I do know that he was either a saloonkeeper, or a Laborer in Ireland, as he continued to work as a keeper here in Chicago. The first census he appears in is the 1870-, and he is married by then to my GGGrandmother. He did purchase a grave lot in Calvary Cemetry for a "Thomas" Enright, aged 38 at his death in 1865.I have no idea whether that was a brother, or a cousin--and the cemetery has only the name, age and date of burial.No records kept in IL. prior to 1870.I will follow through on the information you gave me--maybe I can track Thomas Enright down!
