Thought you might be interested in knowing the POWERs are having a Gathering of the Clan in 2013. There has not been one for some years; the last two being back in 1994 and 1996. This time it is hoped that we will be able to match up with some of the Irish POWERs with our Y-DNA and possibly find a cousin eh. I’ve got my fingers crossed anyhow . To date I have heard they are having the Tricolour Celebrations on the 8 – 10 March and on the morning of the 31 May, through to the 3 June the POWER Gathering will be happening. There is also said to be the Waterford Gathering where they are inviting all Surnames in Waterford to do their Y-DNA. The URLs below will help you to learn all about each of them. Meanwhile you can also go to our POWER et al Y-DNA Project as there is presently a Special on for the Christmas Holidays. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~dnapower/ I have been told there are over 300 pages there but have not counted them. This takes in the surnames of POER, POWER, POWERS, POORE and POOR. The prices in red at http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Power are the Specials being offered by www.familytreedna.com You can see the normal Discounted prices alongside them.

We're all one of lordship alone.
An equal and like life we share.
Lord of himself is each man there;
and each is faithful to the other'.
