Still Desperate and need geographical lessons

My ancestor Peter (b. Patrick) McAvey b. about 1804, according to U.S. 1860 census had his birth place listed as Ireland. It has been suggested it was in Killbride, however the more I look at this the more it appears to be Killdean to me.
Most of the information about Killdean that I'm finding appears to be in Scotland.
Can someone tell me if there is such a place as Killdean Ireland. Where it maybe location?
I'd like to say thank-you to everyone who has helped me in my search. I sincerely desire to know as much as I can about my ancestors.~LORI
