Thank you so much for getting back to me!

From what I know he lived MOST of his life in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Marriage to Bridget was on May 1 1894 in Minnesota. I found that information at https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FDDK-63N Is there a way to view that actual document, and not just the information transcribed from it?

He died in Ramsey County, Minnesota on 7 April 1947

1900 . . . yes! That is the right family. That is kind of where my confusion is coming from. The census says that his parents were born in Ireland, but his death certificate information (which was provided by his son) says his father was born in Canada and mother was born in Ireland.

The EARLIEST record of him that I have been able to find is the Marriage record from family search, and I KNOW that information is correct because I recently saw his wife's family bible and that information was in there also.
