Major George King of the 7th Fusiliers (London Regiment)
Posted by: Roger Macarthur-King (ID *****4793) Date: July 01, 2012 at 14:01:14

I am trying to find the father of my great/great/great grandfather Major George King of the 7th Fusiliers (london Regiment) who was killed in the Battle of new Orleans on the 8th of January 1815. He was married in Dublin to Harriet Giffard in 1800. Our family have handed down that Major George King’s father was a medical man in Edinburgh Scotland and at some stage we think the surname was changed from Drummond to King.
