Michael Welch

My second great grandfather, Michael Welch, was born in Ireland, possibly County Mayo, about 1808. He was a tailor, and made uniforms during the famine for people in the workhouse. He has his family emigrated to Macclesfield England about 1849, where they live for about 10 years until the family emigrated to Massachusetts, living in Boston and Holyoke. While in England some of the daughters worked in the silk factory. His daughter Mary was my great grandmother, who married Thomas Doyle in 1856, I would appreciate any information about the family.
