Mary A. Dagnen

I am looking for information on Mary Dagnen from County Cavan. She married my great uncle, Daniel Fox sometime in 1882/3. Daniel was born in 1866 and lived in Lackan Lower. He came to the U.S. in the late 1800,s and periodically lived in San Francisco with his brother.
Mary and Daniel had a son, Michael, in 1899. On Michael's birth certificate it mentions Mary being from County Cavan. All three, Daniel, Mary and Michael are listed in the 1900 U.S. Census. After that it is a mystery. They split up, divorced or something. There is a Mary who returned to Ireland. Can anyone help? Thanks
