Kim, Wow many thanks the John born 1869 was my grandfather.
The Griffiths info. v. interesting, I only had the Ballymacormack one & felt that a bit iffy.Terence McDonell info. also welcome & as for the birth of an Eliza McDonald that is excellent. I had a Mary Eliza McDonald born 5/5/1853 Dromore Parish Down to William McDonald & Margaret Gibson as a possibility but of course apart from anything else that didn't line up with father's name on wedding cert.
Re the Meeks etc. I haven't been able to access the 1851C remnants recently My husband did access them some time ago & took some details which may or may not connect but since my husband died I have taken up the research gauntlet but really not proficient with either the computer or internet.
