You might find this link helpful in tracking down your parish records. Note the need to get the bishop’s permission to copy the records.

Michael Clifford is a common name in Killarney. There were 6 or 7 people of that name born in 1867. Make sure you have the right one.

For a copy of the birth certificate you should apply to GRO Roscommon. Download the application form and then either post or fax it off to them. There is no e-mail option for certificates before 1922. http://www.groireland.ie/
