While I determined from the 1860 & 1900 US census that the brothers emigrated in 1853, your favorite site "Roots Ireland" does not have them on any Passenger Lists nor Birth records.
Steen seems to be in Ireland like Smith is in England, a common name. LOL
Their parents were derived from John's death certificate. Funny thing is that I can not find a death certificate for Samuel; although he does not appear in any cenus after 1880.
