Okay, I misunderstood, I was reading that Patrick named his first born Arthur too ...

I just looked through your tree on ancestry (nice organized). Possibly Gilhooly has an Arthur? That's all I can come up with, aside from the fact it was a popular name.

I actually have the same question on my Nolans ... I have 3 US-born siblings all using the name Gertrude fairly early in naming and it's not in the previous (immigrant) generation.
