Lisa,I found a few things on Issac Bravender but its hard to know if this is same man although age matches.See what you think.

US General Land Office Records:(paraphrased)
Issac Bravender of Washtenaw co.,Michigan deposited a cert of the Register Land Office at Detroit showing full payment made by Issac Bravender according to the provisions of sale of public lands-80 acres around Detroit dated 2 August 1837

1840 US census:
Washtenaw,Michigan
Issac Bravender-4 people in house,1 aged 20-29,3 aged under 20

1841 England census:
Issac Bravender
age:56 born 1785 Yorkshire,England
Hannah Bravender
age:55 born 1786 England
residing in Yorkshire,England

Issac Bravender
England BMD indexes
married July 1843 in Pickering,Yorkshire,England

1851 Canada census:
Vaughn,York county,Ontario
Issac Bravender listed in the agricultural census(only info about land, crops)

1861 Canada census:
Brock,Ontario
Issac Bravender age:78,born England,Church of England,labourer,married
Mary Bravender age:75,born England,Church of England,labourer,married

I don't know if he is a son of Issacs but I looked at the census returns for an Alfred Issac Bravender in Michigan for 1900 and 1930.In both he says his father born in England and his mom born NY(1900)Penn(1930).

What you have to do is to track down his marriage and death certs which may have vital info on them.I did find a family of Bravenders in county Cavan in early 1800's born around 1810 but no Issac. You are saying he immigrated in early 1800s but the Issac in the 1850 census looks to be born about 1811.It would be a matter of finding certs to confirm this.Hope this helps,Kim
