Spiller Meagher

Thomas Robert Spiller b. 1811 and Margaret Meagher b.1816, both from Ireland as free settlers to Van Diemens Land in early 1830s. May have been married - certainly had 4 boys in the colony, They had a tavern in Hobart. I am seeking information about their origins/families in Ireland - this information has now been lost for about 150 years. I have no idea where and under what circumstances they came. Apparently he was probably protestant and she catholic. One of their sons was seeking a copy of a notice in a Cork newspaper in 1860 that purported to be seeking info. on the kin of Thomas Robert Spiller. There is no other record. Appreciate any information or ideas.
