Murray - Prior (Pryor) Family Research
Posted by: Steve Murray (ID *****7172) Date: February 18, 2012 at 17:19:50

I have been doing extensive research in my family tree. I have discovered that my Great-Great Grandmother was named Mary Prior (Pryor?). I believe she was born in Leitrum Ireland in about 1845 and married my Great-Great Grandfather John Murray (also from Leitrum) in Ireland around 1867. I believe she had two sons, James Murray (born in 1868) and Thomas Murray (born in 1875). She may have had a daughter named Kate in between the sons, but I can’t determine that. I have records that show John Murray came to America in 1883 and his sons, James and Thomas came to America in 1887. They settled and lived the rest of their lives in Cincinnati, OH. I show no record of Mary Pryor ever coming to America. I presume she must have passed away prior to 1883. Does anyone have any Murray’s and Pryor's in their family tree? Can anyone relate any of this information to your research?
Sincerely,

Steve Murray
Cincinnati, OH - USA
