Iím looking for information about the family of my grandfather Jeremiah Sullivan.
Iíve been told that he was born in Kenmare, on September 20, 1888.
That his mother was Kate Connor, or Kate OíConnor, from Kerry.
Jeremiah Sullivan was a member of An Garda Siochana, the Irish police force.
Before joining the Garda he was a member of the R.I.C. Constable.
He was recommended to the Garda by Reverend J.OíRegan C.C. St. Patrickís Cork.
His home address at the time of his appointment was, Montenotte County Cork
He attained the rank o Superintendent.
He married Margaret (Pearl) Manahan from Limerick on January 28, 1919
I believe that he had a least two brothers and one sister, Daniel, Timothy and a sister Mrs. Lee
If this looks familiar to you please contact me.
