Hi Kathleen, nice to hear from you again. Hope You and your's are well. I'm doing much better on the computer nowadays thanks to you and the many people who reached out to help. With the Groom Family I have gotten as far back as my GGG parents, Patrick Groom born 1801 and wife Margaret Coyne Groom 1835. I did know about Patrick and John coming to America together but had no idea there also was Margaret, Peter and Roger as other siblings.
I also have Patrick's (my GG) death as 5/25/1884 in his 40's in Brooklyn. N.Y. He and Ellen had 10 children 9 survived. Also have Ellen's birth, death and cemetery where both are buried.
My G William died 6/13/1935. How odd 6/13/52 is my brother Jimmy's birthdate and my wedding date? I just got another helpful tip to look on the Wilson-Vandeveer family tree and just discovered for myself the Vandeveer was Maggie Groom's married name. It still surprises me how all the pieces and parts eventually it together. Patty Rupp
